When the original submarine ride opened they actually had actresses in the lagoon as mermaids. One of the reasons they stopped doing it (Beside the high chlorine content of the lagoon)was because Navy men on leave at the park kept jumping in and swimming out to them. :-) - Sam241 475.6 #251 7:44PM

Sorry to bump an old post, but although the "navy men" story is a great one for the park to tell, I seriously hope that the horny men swimming out to the actresses back in the day were in fact stoned jocks and not actual men of service in control of nuclear submarines.
