Daily Exercise Accountability Log (DEAL). Let's start a daily post of the exercise we did that day. Even though a once a week Weigh-In is a helpful motivation, perhaps a daily log of what we did to burn those calories and get fit might get us to move more! Who is up for the challenge?!

Camp24 at the gym this morning then 30min walk/jog on treadmill. Wasn't feeling so great this morning so I treated myself to a nap as reward for working out :) - futureprincess  9.9 #9828 9:17PM

Took 2 days rest after the killer workout Saturday - today (1/17) 5 miles (1.5 running - 3.5 fast walking).  The distance is getting easier, but the running is really hard - can't get my breathing under control - for you runners out there - any tips that can help me out with this? - princessSue  267.6 #1102 6:03PM
this might sound totally random but try not to think about it so much. Try to do it naturally. I have noticed at least inmyself once I start thinking about "breathing" I start to breath all crazy and then it turns into huff and puffing. Compared to if I get lost in my moment (running outside i find this easier to get lost in my thoughts) i breath naturally. ALso I have noticed that if I focus on the stride and make them less big and more under myself that I have a easier time with the breathing. - BooEve123  800.9 #203 12:26PM

1/18: walked outside 1.5m in the melting snow (mostly gone now) with my dog. I find I am actually looking forward to walking everyday, and am adjusting my schedule to make sure I have time to walk. (I am not committed enough to get up earlier in the morning, though. Maybe when it's lighter earlier.) Also, when I do my daily rounds at the hospital, I have been parking two floors above the walkway so I have to do some stairs coming and going. It probably sounds stupid, but for me, the consistency and change of attitude is a BIG change- even if it's only been 19 days. - PrincessKristin  780.8 #210 4:56PM

I've been wanting to start this for a while because of my own lack of desire to do some form of exercise on a daily basis. So even if it is just a walk around the block, at least I got my walking shoes on!!! I am addicted to the elliptical at my gym. I have a bad knee so sometimes the impact of the treadmill hurts. If it wasn't for the gym I'd never exercise so I know how you feel! But this is a good idea! It helps a lot having motivation from others!  - AlishaSkellington  175.2 #2211 8:43AM

4/9: kettlebells & pilates; 4/10: hike with Hubby and my Dug; 4/11: 40 mins on elliptical. Less than an hour per day, but some is better than nothing, right? I'm having a hard time getting motivated, too. It helps to focus on how my body actually feels when I'm done, rather than what it looks like or how much I weigh. this might sound totally random but try not to think about it so much. Try to do it naturally. I have noticed at least inmyself once I start thinking about "breathing" I start to breath all crazy and then it turns into huff and puffing. Compared to if I get lost in my moment (running outside i find this easier to get lost in my thoughts) i breath naturally. ALso I have noticed that if I focus on the stride and make them less big and more under myself that I have a easier time with the breathing. - BooEve123  800.9 #203 12:26PM

1/19: tried something new today - ZUMBA on our Xbox using Kinect!  Boy, that was super fun!   I found some new muscles in my calves with all that moving around and I really got my heart rate up.  Nice change from all that walking and running.  It has a timer so you know how long each routine is going to be. I'm back on Medifast, so I am doing the treadmill at this level every other day for 2 weeks, then I will get back on C25K.
