So You guys know about my cousins 6 kids and how my mom has them now, I was wondering are there any type of programs that can help with getting them to DL? None of them have ever been and I know they would just love it, not to mention they could use the cheering up. I know the give a day get a day thing is over but do u guys know of anything similar? Or anyone I can talk to? Thanks all.

Church has donated a lot for them, including clothed and new beds. I know Disneyland isn't something they need, but I just think it would be so awesome for them right now.. I emailed Disney but I probably won't hear back for a while - RickeyCalifornia

Oh and they don't have any family, my cousins side of the family is very racist and since the kids are mixed, being half white half black, they don't have anything to do with them. Its so sad but thats why me or my moms side of the family doesnt talk to them. My mom is really all they have now :( - RickeyCalifornia

Try setting up a donation/ pay pal page for donations, share it with their story via Twitter, Facebook, all those sites. You never know who will see it, and donate. It may take time, but worth a try. Email to news stations too. - Nicole

A couple of things. I am a police officer in northern California and can say these types of cases hit home with us. You may want to reach out to your poa (police officer's association) or SSS (deputy sherriff's association. We have done charity dinners, scholarship drives, and other fundraisers for numerous cases involving kids.
Second, I was recently introduced to a website which I think would be awesome for you. It's www.giftwish.com. It is basically like an online gift registry where you could post what is needed. It links to your paypal account and people can forward donations toward specific goals and the site tracks progress. So you could make park hoppers one category with the total for all 6 kids. Then you could do a food, hotel, souvenir, and gas section and people could work to get you to each goal. The cool thing is the site tracks totals so it motivates people to get you to your goals. You can also post and tell your story, donors can leave personal messages and did I mention...... This is all free.
I just met the site creator while working with my son's elementary school. Feel free to contact me for any info you need.
Lastly, make sure to reach out to your local victim/witness program for counseling for the kids and family. Don't forget self care.
