has anyone ever dated someone who doesn't like disneyland? is long term even possible? especially if you want to get married there?
I dated a guy when I was 20 and he was 24. He wasn't a fan of Disneyland so I didn't know if it would work. My family goes every year for our family vacation and we still do and I'm 30 an the youngest of 4! So needless to say, I'm not with him anymore and am married to a die hard Disney fan! - brodysmommy

I'm married to one. He stays home while the kids and I go. I prefer it that way otherwise it feels like I'm dragging dead weight around. - DizGeek

I dated a couple guys when I was younger who weren't into Disneyland or anything Disney related. However, when I met my now husband it wasn't until just before my 21st birthday when I expressed an interest in roadtripping to Disneyland from Seattle that I learned he was a Disney junkie. We go down every year for my birthday and then again for our wedding anniversary now. - southunder

I'm married to one! He stays home. I go with my lil guy. I dont have to listen to him complain about the lines and not having full service meals all the time. He just needs to get over it! I listen to him talk about his Yankees(usually MW at the time) and he has to listen to me talk about Disney. - vegasbrat

Is it sad that I have already planted the seeds of marrying someone who loves Disneyland into my 10 and 11 year olds? - TFDland

Yeah I don't think I could ever be with someone who did love or at least like Disney. - disneynerd

My husband tolerates it, but doesn't often go. Fortunately he doesn't mind if I go with my relatives. - ally

I wouldn't even consider dating someone who doesn't love DL. - ladylikesdisney

My bf hates Disneyland... yes he has actually used the word hate... He doesn't complain about my obsession, after 7 years, so I can live with it.... besides he buys me the best Disney stuff ever! but I have always wondered what it would be like dating a Disney fan. - stardustpixie

Well, if you're a passholder...might be a problem. But I'm sure he can deal with it if you go once or twice a year especially if you have little ones! - swingingwake

I am actually lucky my boyfriend s Disneyland! Our first date was to Disneyland! He asks me if I had a disneypass since I "lived in Anaheim" I thought he was going to make fun of me but then said great me to ya wanna go with me. Of course I said yes three years later we still go to disney - MelB

I did and it sucks! So much easier when you're with someone who likes going to Disneyland. I think it might be a prereq for the next gf haha. But like you, I hope to get married there some day, that'd be awesome!
What's even worse though is having friends who dont like going to disneyland - makes it tough to go. Solution ? find new friends! - dphizz

I think it would be difficult to date someone who didn't at least appreciate DL. Interested in someone that doesn't understand how people go to DL so often, but loves lots of Disney movies/characters. And while some friends don't understand the constant Disney trips, many more do and share the obsession since they have kids. - Ht

My man doesn't like Disneyland. During our nine years together we've gone together 4-5 times at most? Although I would love for him to join me at my happiest place on Earth, Disneyland is not a make or break deal for me. I enjoy the parks with my friends and family and when he wants to join me, he can. I don't force anything on him. We have plenty of other things in common, which is fine with me. - LisaKL

I am now. Sometimes it bothers me cuz I wish I could share the feeling of the magic of being there but he is not a fan. Just does not understand y I love it so much!! I go twice a year & he never comes with but in the long run it could be a deal breaker. Idk if I could handle not being able to come with my as a family without my man.....things to think about before we get to that point. DL is the best! - DisneyBelle
