I have a spouse that just isn't into Disneyland as much as I am. In fact he can get downright grumpy. I found it really hard to enjoy the parks with him last time we were there. I'm almost thinking the next time I go, to just go with the kids and leave him at home.

No grumpy people in the park please ! :) - Thegrumpyone  95.5 #3089 7:54AM
My husband is the same way. I do leave mine at home and just take the kids. It might seem mean but I refuse to let him ruin our trips. Especially since we don't live close and only get to go every couple of years. - Nikkia2020  4.0 #13567 7:55AM
Leave him home. There's always mouse waiters in the park that you can hang with! - sharkbait  423.3 #300 7:57AM
That's a bummer. My husband was the same way until we had our daughte but now he enjoys going. Enjoy a day with the kids, or even by yourself. Meet up with some MWers and you'll have a great time  - LBChica  1500.3 #52 7:57AM
We stopped taking my husband along time ago. Though I love the man to death he can only handle it for a little while. He understands and we find things for him to do when we are gone, arrange things with his friends , leave him the kinds of foods he enjoys , stuff like that! And go have fun!!! - alanandart  0.5 #49219 7:59AM
My boyfriend was the same way. Called it a waste of money, but recently hes been warming up to it and even asked about getting an ap, hehe I think hes converting. - micamouse89  57.4 #3606 8:03AM
I think the poor guy is conflicted. Feels like he should go for the girls but doesn't enjoy being there. Thanks for all your support, it would be great to meet up with MW's there. We are going to be there in October, keep an eye out. - LilMissMaleficent  113.1 #2852 8:10AM
I'd better for the both of you if he stays home. That's what we do  - vivifor  20.0 #5056 8:16AM
My son and I go without my husband. He can't stand DL! It is way too crowded for him and he has to work during the week. Go with the kids. You'll love it without your hubby complaining! :) - kenannmartin  8.5 #7334 8:16AM
I would leave my hubby at home if he was ruining the magic for me. - TFDland  9.1 #7081 8:17AM
That is why mine stayed at home! It was so nice with just the kids and I and no one being dragged along! - DizGeek  453.3 #270 8:55AM
My husband doesn't mind so much as long as we stay in one park the day he goes. Most times it's just me, my kids and toph. - Momof2  16.8 #5415 8:57AM
Leave him home. Had a grumpy father-in-law with us once and he about ruined the trip for all of us! - angryduck  98.7 #3047 9:00AM
Set him "adrift" in ROA next time.  - Tom  3849.4 #7 9:03AM
Lol Tom! I totally agree. - LilMissMaleficent  113.1 #2852 10:23AM
Hahaha @ Tom! The thought of that is just funny! Lilmojo, I will take mine and we can set them both adrift. - DizGeek  453.3 #270 10:25AM
Just start buying him things with Grumpy on it.... Hopefully he'll get the idea soon!!! ;-)) - WaltSentMe  316.5 #538 10:26AM

Opps! I leave mine at home. I just bought AP's for my lil guy and I. My husband is anti Disney and hates crowds. It's so much better with him at home! - vegasbrat  403.8 #324 10:30AM
Dizgeek....lol or maybe we just send them on TOT. "Express elevator going down!" WaltSentMe, I was thinking about doing the same thing..... If the shoe fits. :) vegasbrat, I think I would be better with my hubby at home too. - LilMissMaleficent  113.1 #2852 10:40AM
My husband claims he doesn't like it either...its probably been over 15 years since he's been. I'm hoping if we end up going in October he will see the joy it brings the kids and not be such a hater :) - MommaSquared  10.3 #6658 11:26AM
A few months ago, my family and I won tickets and 2 nights stay in The Grand Californian hotel. Everyone was excited but my dad, so we left him at home. We love my dad, but no one regrets leaving him & he doesn't regret skipping out on our trip! It was for the best. - SoCalPrincess  4.8 #10953 7:52PM
My husband doesn't enjoy it either. There is always an excuse- it's crowded, it's the weekend, and the old time my feet hurt after walking so much. I just leave him behind - Mom2mm  60.7 #3565 8:00PM
Wow , that's bad - Tcarnahan  73.8 #3345 8:02PM
My husband likes it more if we have margaritas at Tequila Joes in DD before hand! (not drunk) - dhigg68  4.4 #12018 8:05PM
My husband is the same way. So and the kids go without him and just got me and the kids AP not him - piratemom  458.0 #266 8:09PM
