So I just bought myself the new macbook pro! Im officially broke but I'm very excited! To those who switched from pc to apple ru guys content with the switch? Is it worth it?

Oh yay its good to hear that my money is going to good use lol with the pc I just got tired of viruses and spyware. I have an ipod and ive been surfing the web with that and I havent had problems so I figured its about time I switched. Thanks for the feed back guys!! :) - chickpea08

I always told myself that I'd never go Mac. I ended up buying myself a Mac book pro for college and love it! For a desktop, I'd stay with a PC, but as for laptop, Id go Mac. - CrashIntoMe

You get no viruses with a Mac. There are pros and cons with a mac, but I prefer it. I own MacBook and have had it for like 5 years and it works GREAT still. - goinghometime

Yeah well I got to admit that Im still very pc so I have to get use to apple technology ha ha. But yes my desktop is still windows and my very first laptop is a macbook :) so I guess lets see how that goes! - chickpea08

Oh another question is it true that it overheats? i was at target yesterday and i saw these pads where u place the mac book on it with little fans underneath. Do those work? I'm still excited tho lol ^__o - chickpea08

iMAC all the way... It is a bit of an adjustment when you first switch but you quickly figure it out.. I do under water video and still pics when we dive and use Final Cut to make movies etc... Totally awesome and a breeze to use.. - MMDiver

I switched to Mac in 2009. I bought an iMac. I use to use one at an old job and I taught myself. I find macs much more user friendly. I'll probably never go back to a pc. - KissDclown

I had a macbook for work and I see its perks, I will always be a PC girl for both my desktop and laptop. I can so much more with it and I love the open OS. I hate things that are uniformed. I need choices and being able to modify/play around with the techy stuff. That's why I love Androids too. - LisaKL

You can also run windows based programs on macs now. I have windows 7 for my iMac because office looks and runs better there. I still need to add it but will probably save it for a Mac book when I get one. - KissDclown

The only thing that ticked me off about my Mac is that my I couldn't use my iPhone 4 on it because it was TOO OLD. I can have a 10 yr old PC and the iPhone wouldn't work. The 4 REQUIRES the latest iTunes which my Mac couldn't update to. That sucks since my MacBook works perfectly fine and I don't need to buy a new one. Thank god my bf had an extra desktop I could use. Or else I couldn't use my iPhone :( - goinghometime

My laptop is a pc and I absolutely hate it. It over heats too. It's only a couple years old. I think it's just a laptop issue. It will be replaced my a Mac book soon. - KissDclown

Everyone I know who currently owns PCs slam Macs. But everyone I know who used to own PC that changed to Macs have most definitely changed their tunes. I don't know why people have such beige rage. - DuffysJuju
