So, remember when I posted on Monday that I was unable to donate blood? Wellllll.....guess what I did today!!! Donated blood! It was quite the process with both arms being poked, but I did it! And, my town is on a roll. Crazy guy running around last night, and bank robber tonight. Hehehe! How has everyone's day been?? :D

@Rob: Yeah!!!! I tried on Monday, but they told me no because of my eczema. BUT! They let me this time! Wahoo!
@P&C: YEAH! Stormy. It's SOOO windy right now down here in Cedar! Insane! And it's raining. But the wind is the worst. Our lights have flickered a couple times. I would go to Cali, but I would have nowhere to live! I hear that DL is hiring though. But I'm thinking of applying for the Disney College Program. That way I can work at DL, earn credits, AND be in Cali. It's a winner! @B&B: Thanks! I didn't get my hopes up like I did last time until after I was "approved." Haha! :) - Amanda

Yeah, I've asked him a few questions. But, I do have another. Maybe I'll text him and ask. And, you know, more hours means more fun, more magic, and more $$. Haha! I seriously think it would be SOO cool to be a CM! That would be the best job ever! It's kinda my dream job. Between being a CM, and working with cancer kids. They're both fantastic. :) - Amanda

I hate giving blood. When I go to the blood lab I have to lay down in the kids room. The good thing is that it's decorated with Disney stuff. - kirsten!

@P&C: Exactly!! When I found it missing, I thought it was my roommates. Cause, they take everything of mine. And, boy, it would not have been a pretty sight to see, had I not found out that it was really my sister. Don't mess around with my Disney movies!!!
@Kirsten!: HAHA!!! That's hilarious! I keep dizzy and kind of out of it after I donate. For the rest of the day, I get up slow, sit down slow, and even when I am just sitting, I get dizzy. I'm very proud though. When I take the wrap off, is when I really have issues. The first time, I passed out. In school. Today though? I did very well! Especially since I had two wraps to take off! - Amanda

@Rob: Yes, yes they do. They took a pint from me. That's the most they can take. Some take less because they're blood isn't "flowing" fast enough, so they stop it at the min amount. @Kirsten!: I didn't do it twice. They needled one arm, but couldn't find the vein, so they went to the next arm. Wiggled the needle in both arms, so now I have a lovely bruise, that I'm sure will look even more lovely tomorrow. Haha! @P&C: HAHA!!! Romulan.....nice. I love to donate. Next goal: Donate platelets. :) - Amanda

Oh jeez I definitely would have passed out then. Needling you to find a vein. Eek! Next time you give blood tell them which arm to use so you don't get poked for nothing. I always do my left arm. There is a big visible vein and they always say I'm a good blood giver. Oh talking about this is making squirmish now. - kirsten!

Hahaha!!!! You see, I DID tell them! My left arm has two big veins that they always use! But, the lady today HAD to have one in the middle, so she took a stab (no pun intended) in the middle where she "thought she felt one" and obviously missed. Ironic part?? On my other arm, she used a vein that's on the side!! What?! Why didn't sh just use one the side ones on my left and be done with it! Sheesh! Haha! - Amanda

Hahaha!!! I just found it so ironic that she didn't want to do the two side veins that are really good and really easy to access, but on my other arm, ended up doing a side vein! And, the first poke didn't hurt that much. But the second one did. But, the guy that she kept calling over to find my vein was really good!!! If only he did it to begin with. This lady obviously had no idea what she was doing! - Amanda

Haha!!! They might as well have! Two pokes=blood from both pokes coming out. Pint of blood in the big bag, 6 vials of blood they draw for testing, and a finger prick for iron testing! Sheesh! If I wasnt saving 3 lives, this probably wouldn't be worth it! - Amanda
