Personal trivia: one of my best friends, Karen, got to tour Disneyland prior to it's opening. She met Walt and he held her hand while they walked around. She was 5 at the time and attended with her parents. What an experience and a story for the grand children. - Tammilani

Actually Amy it was the geese from America sings that were stripped to robot form for star tours. The eagle was rumored to be the hatbox ghost from the HM but was later found out not to be true. - sickboy

the animator had sad they originally tried Ariel with dark brown/black hair and she blended in too much with the background colors (especially in the abanded ship scene) so with the fire engine hair, she stood out without taking away the beauty of the underwater colors - legoalex

While riding in your Doom Buggie in the Haunted Mansion, look for a spider in front of you when overlooking the dining hall. The glass in front of you used to project the apparitions was actually shattered by a Disneyland visitor with a pistol. To replace the glass would have been too expensive (the entire ceiling would have to be removed), so the imaginative Imagineers placed a spider on the spot complete with web to hide the shattered glass. The remains of Nature's Wonderland Mine train can been seen on the ROA. The train parked there is an actual train that was used. The tunnel by BTMRR that is boarded up was part of the attraction too. - BaseballMickey_CM
