just read via twitter that disney wants to make a profit off photopass so now there wont be any "walk around characters" they will only be in photopass areas..anybody else hear about this?
I hope that's not true. Seeing the characters walk around adds to the magic. There's no way disney is that broke - ladylikesdisney

Yah I agree..I read in the article that for the ones walking around the park that they are losing out on making money for that period of time..but at the photopass area I have the CM take the pic with my camera..I wonder if you will still be able to do that?? - kristeee22

Gawd!!!! Disney give us a break!!! You make plenty of money, how about give us more free range characters, one thing I really wish they would bring back!!! I seen the Fairy godmother out this weekend w/o a CM and it was a great sight to see!!! - Ms.Mouseketeer

I wonder if it has to do with the new theme and them posting/showing pictures on small world or the castle or wherever they are doing that at..so it would be eaiser for CMs to get pics? Idk I think its dumb either way. I like seeing them out. - kristeee22

It's probably easier to keep the crowds organized and the cm's on schedule for breaks and shift changes. That said, I like them wandering around. - bluefairy

I agree with bluefairy. I only see it being beneficial to control crowds. It's not going to stop people from using their own cameras and we have taken much better photos than the photopass people. Only thing they are good for is adding in things like tinkerbell to the photo. - KissDclown
