Just got back from our Disneyland trip and I finally got to ride on the Lilly Belle!!! Thank you MWers for all of the Lilly Belle stories, they really got me motivated to go on it myself. I had no idea what I was missing. Thanks again. ;)
I can't believe I've never heard of it either - tinkerj

The lillybelle was a private car on the Disneyland railroad that escorted walts family and dignitaries around the park. - ERICKA

Don't you need to be Club 33 members to ride in it? - zipwire

Not anymore. Go in the early morning to the main St station and ask if the Lillybelle is running and if you can get a reservation. They tell you what time to return and take your name. - ally

all you have to do is go to the main st. station and ask for a reservation? No membership required? What's the experience like? - stephigo

I went last week and a CM escorted us on. I heard someone say " where are they going? They must be someone important" when we were boarding! - ERICKA

Yes just ask, we did on Monday. A guide gives a talk on the train and the car as you travel. He said Walts wife, Lilly, decorated it and showed us Walts smoking jacket. It's a great experience! - ally

I rode in it years ago, but haven't been on it since it returned. Glad they restored it and brought it back. - SorcererDuck

Definitely a great experience. Yes the train conductor takes you in, Vern was ours, and tells you about the history of the Lilly Belle and Walts love for trains. A must do for any Disney fan. - DisneyMomma
