Hello. I'm in need of ideas. I will soon be receiving my teaching credential and would like to make my classroom a Disney theme. I've been looking online for ideas and have came across a few but am in need of more. I thought what better place to get ideas then here where others are huge Disney fans too. I don't know what grade I'll be teaching but would like to start buying things regardless of what elementary grade I end up teaching. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
I have tons because I'm a teacher! Which area are you student teaching right now? I would dedicate each board to a character: writing board is red, black, yellow, and white for Mickey and have a Mickey head for each students' profile on the board. Use Disney font. Title is something like, "Magical Writing.. blah blah"; for door, do "Happiest Classroom on Earth" and with each students' picture on door wearing a Disney hat you have. Math board you can make it Up theme with real balloons, yarn, and paper... "Flying 'Up' High with Mathematics"... Those are some ideas from top of my head. - LisaKL

Thank you so much!! You got me so excited!! I was able to visualize your awesome ideas. I love them all!! I'm doing my final student teaching in 4th grade in Corcoran. It's between Fresno and Visalia. Thank you again for sharing such awesome ideas and if you could think of more I'd love to hear them. - MickeyLvr

After going back to read what I typed and submitted I realized I made a typo. Corcoran is between Fresno and Bakersfield. I guess my mind was on Visalia because I go to school there. - MickeyLvr

Check out fathead.com for those reusable stickers to put on the walls. I got my daughter a Rapunzel fathead and she totally digs it. - zipwire

Party city has the full wall decorations that you can use. I had Cinderella's castle on my student of the week board when I taught 1st grade. I also found a website that had stationary, and the CM name tag I used those on their desks - Miranda

Maybe put an alphabet border around the classroom with Disney characters starting with the same letter. However can't think of one for "x". - GoofyDano14

I cant wait to teach, I wanna do like a movie day when the kids reach a certain goal, and I would have them watch Disney movies and then have them write their own fairytale so they get some kind of educational value out of it. Stupid standards!! That makes school not fun anymore :( - micamouse89

I once painted a time out chair. I put Pinocchio on it. I've also done an ocean theme so Nemo would do. - DznyHeart

I love all of the little touches that I'm reading about here that are Disney. @micamouse~be careful. You are pretty much NEVER allowed to show a Disney movie in a classroom. It's super no-no! :( I know there are ways around it somehow but not during the regular schoolday in a classroom. - PinkyMouse

btw, not to bring things down for mica and mommyof3, but the my area, the school districts are really cutting their budget and hiring new teachers is a rarity. Just a thought in case you want to add a specialized credential right now. - LisaKL
