I know we have a lot of our own flood problems and weather problems going on right now, but I just heard on the news that the flooding is Australia is huge. The affected area is larger than both Germany and France combined. I have a lot of friends from playing WoW online. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers.
Thanks for the info. Will do... - PrincessSarah

yea, i can't comprehend the area of Germany and France all being underwater at once...it seems a lot of people were expecting it, because the death toll and missing person count this morning was much lower than I would have expected. - ThatHondaGuy

we have excellent emergency services and a small population, so the toll has stayed relatively low. Some terribly tragic stories coming out now, though. The next 24 hours are pivotal. - BLG

My cousin and her family are right in the middle of this whole thing so please keep them in your prayers. A family member of hers said her windows started leaking. All her bedding is molding and all her purses and shoes have fallen pray to it too... The water is taken over. Everyone involved really needs prayer and support. My cousin was joking that she warned people to build an ark but the wouldn't listen... Thts just her trying to find humor in this sad and difficult situation. - Sassie_Cass

The videos are mindblowing, watching cars wash down streets and disapearing. Awful. - Nicholas-M

Em was at a camp there last week. It was based around a large dam and she said it had over-flowed and then gone back down but it had left fish all over the ground everywhere. She said between the fish and the cane toads, she didn't know where to step. Then a bunch of the campers couldn't return to their homes because they were from Rockhampton (badly effected) and completely cut off - BLG

I know, Nicholas - the family she stayed with was in Brizzie and she flew out of Brisbane Airport on Monday morning. I'm very thankful to have her home before things got too ugly - BLG

The bris airport is still open, those luckey people coming to Brisbane for a holiday - Nicholas-M

I can't believe they've kept it open. They shouldn't be letting more people in unless they are residents who need to reach family. Fair enough for those who need to leave tho - BLG

I suppose there is no reason to close it, it is not under water, the weather is fine and people have to get home so of they closed it people would get very angry and airlines would loose a lot of money while creating a backlog of passengers. Not worth closing it. - Nicholas-M
