Lately, I've been trying to use less of everything. Soap, shampoo, detergent, ketchup. I cut back on how much I use at a time and it makes everything last longer. Saves money and better for the environment since you buy less plastic and bottles. - LillyBelle

I just went through all of my bill and figured out where I could reduce or change things, like lower cell phone plan and less insurance coverage etc and I was able to save 300.00 per month. I also have a menu my family sticks to. And I have been purchasing alot of things 2nd hand - I love craigslist!!! - mommamouse

Sign up for your favorite stores' mailing lists/member cards. They often send out coupons or sale alerts. The fresh and easy ones they mail you are better than the ones in the circular. Coupons aren't just in the newspaper. I think I got a hallmark $5 off $5 coupon in a magazine. I found a harry potter ornament at hallmark from 2 years ago 75% off ($6!). Paid $1 plus tax for something I'd been eyeing on eBay forever! Take advantage of stores' price adjustment policies. Not sure if it's still the same, but I used to shop at gap all the time and it was 2 weeks. If you found it cheaper within two weeks, they will refund the difference. Just save the receipt. - bluefairy

We as a family collect all of our plastic soda bottles in a separate bag. Then, every few weeks, we turn them in at the market to get a CRV cash for it. Then use that money to buy food. On time, I used to money and paid 1 cent for milk! - BaseballMickey_CM
