Hey MW What does everyone here think of the DCA remodeling/refurbishments?
I hate the idea of the letters being gone. - PIRATADELCARIBE

Yeah I agree about the letters. Some things will be cool but I don't see the reason to take the Cali outof everything. - angy17

I agree. Same with the tile murals. While they weren't amazing, the nostalgic value of them will live on. - Javelin

Do you think they are changing everything because they realized the park would make more money if it was more Disney themed versus California themed? - Queenof2princesses

It'll be nice when it all comes together. Just takes time and $ - HandMeAChurroImmaFaint

M2AP- I think they realized that it really needed to be more Disneyfied and not so much the disjointed mini-CA, which to a 4th generation Californian, is nothing special. I wonder what non natives think of it?

It Would have worked much better in Florida Where many less Californians attend. also put it in perspective. Disneyland was not successful immediately either. Anything of this scale can take time to grow on the public. However there was also less theming on most rides in comparison to Disneyland. Tower of terror being one of the few well themed rides. - Javelin

So sad to see them go. I actually got to take my picture in front of the "N" since it is the first initial of my name on New Years Eve. It will make a nice profile pic. - PinkMascara

Now I thought that I heard that it cost more to build the Grand than it did the park. Hm. Idk, but comparing the taking time for CA to catch on as DL did-not sure that it ever would have in the state it's in. - HandMeAChurroImmaFaint

Also I think Jumpin jellyfish could easily be turned into a Dory/Marlon ride.
I've also longed for them to show ANY Disney movie @ an empty theater there
Great for the rainy or hot season - HandMeAChurroImmaFaint

As a huge Walt fan, I think it'll pay homage to the man who started it all. The addition of Buena Vista street as Walt saw it, will be a classier opening to the rest of the park. Don't get me wrong, I liked DCA how it was but I'm excited to see how they could make it better. Look at what WOC has done! :) - Minnieday

The remodel is fantastic! It is a shining example of a twenty year plan coming together.
The generic parts of the park that were intended to be temporary are being removed, or replaced. And the parts of the park that were intended to be permanent are being spruced up, polished, and improved.
It is wonderful to see a competent marketing and development team at the helm! - Spoonful_O_Sugar
