#FlashBackFriday This was during an after hours KLOS Indiana Jones kick off event where we got to ride Indiana Jones before it was open to the general public. They were cranking Zeppelin throughout the park and I spent some time talking with Michael Anthony of Van Halen. Gotta love the 90's.... (Can't remember why I'm wet - guessing Splash Mountain but also looks like someone might've got me with   More...

#FlashbackFriday... In the "spirit" of celebrating Disneyland's Haunted Mansion August opening, I came across this 1994 photo of the WDW version for those who haven't seen it before. Which HM attraction do you prefer?

2010-11 I believe. They added elements to the outside queue and new special effects to the attraction that DL does not have. - jacdanfan  8426.3 #5 8:16PM
I rode the WDW version in 2011, so don't know if that was pre or post upgrade. It was good, but I like ours better.  - redsoxcarlos  1514.6 #94 4:34PM

Okay, here's another 80's classic for #FBF :-) Mom & me with one of the Tweedle brothers, in front of #Autopia & the #PeopleMover #1984. We went while the Olympics was taking place in LA, thus many of the patriotic t-shirts ;-) #FlashbackFriday

I love the old pix! - MeridaFan  3510.6 #33 10:59AM
1984 was a year I went a lot! I remember the post Olympic parade at Disneyland which featured a few of our southland athletes! Nice pic, keep them coming. - goofydad909  1970.2 #68 11:37AM
My father told me that during this visit, the park was virtually empty. It doesn't look like it in the photos, but I do remember my parents telling me a story of us visiting and they thought the park was closed because of how few people were there--apparently the parking lot was very bare, too. I can't even picture that, these days :)! - apesandmonkeys  6521.6 #12 11:46AM

Primates (non human) carry a lot of diseases and thus cannot just be free to be amongst the public--strict health code regulations, especially for theme parks & wildlife sanctuaries. Plus monkeys are highly unpredictable & often bite/attack. Can't say I blame them... πŸ’ - apesandmonkeys  6521.6 #12 3:12AM
