Photo walk through of Disneyland Park- August 25th, 2014
When walking into the park, I noticed that Disneyana had changed their featured art attraction to coincide with the Haunted Mansion’s 45th anniversary. If you have a chance, check out the artwork that is available because this kind of selection only comes around every few years.
Turning the corner down Main Street, I noticed Disney Showcase had been wrapped up and it goes all the way around to the Main Street Cinema.
Inside Disney Showcase, it’s been turned into Halloween merchandise and Princess dresses. Also, the décor and displays have been completely changed for Halloween.
Off to Adventureland to see what was left of the Adventure Trading Company.
This “playtest” started on August 1st and was supposed to run through the 31st, but due to its popularity, it will end early. But join them on Friday, August 29th at Aladdin’s Oasis to share the stories about your journeys in finding the jujus.
Love the detailed displays WDI put in the store just for this playtest. Notice the hints from the Indiana Jones films.
Onto New Orleans Square where the Haunted Mansion was looking quite empty and is awaiting Jack Skellington to arrive on September 12.
Walking through the walkways of the Square, it was nice to see that this area was wall-free!
In Port Royal though, there were still a lot of shirts available for the Haunted Mansion 45th anniversary and a lot of new HM and Nightmare Before Christmas merchandise.
Back around to Frontierland, “Legends of Frontierland” is in its last full week.
Have you participated in the land feud between Rainbow Ridge and Frontierland?
I finally saw the musical show that takes place in the Golden Horseshoe, starring L.B. and Miss Rose.
After seeing it, the entire event of Legends of Frontierland makes sense (it only took me the whole summer to figure it out).
Back over to Sleeping Beauty Castle, where the Pearly Band had just started their show with Mary Poppins and Bert.
I love seeing shows at the Castle (like the Disneyland Band with Mickey and Friends, the All-American College Band in the summer, etc.) because it lets you close to the action and the same level as the performers.
And now some more pictures to conclude this quick walk through of the park.
