For @Meridafan Live: a huge crowd of sleeping people with their Monsters themed treats and all. Shhhhh....sweet dreams from Fantasy Faire
#SnowWhite I really like this attraction. And the brickwork and evil queen peeking out add to the feel.
Good morning! This busy day in Disney history, May 25th 1955: The Disney film "Davy Crockett, King of the Wild Frontier, starring the great Fess Parker (As Davy Crockett) & Buddy Ebsen (as Georgie Russel), is released. An edited compilation of the 1st 3 episodes of the Davy Crockett Disney TV series, the film will greatly influence the design of Disneylands Frontierland. The U.S. is in the midst of a national "Davy Crockett craze," w/hundreds of coonskin caps being sold, as well as a hit record of the theme song "The Ballad of Davy Crockett." Have you seen this film? What do you think of it?
Also on this day in 1983, Pinocchios Daring Journey "officially" opens to the general public as part of the Disneylands new overhauled Fantasyland. When Disneyland opened in in 1955, this location was home to the Mickey Mouse Club Theater. Pinocchio is the 1st attraction to have 1st appeared at Tokyo Disneyland (In April 1983) AND the the 1st attraction created by Disney to use holographic material. Do you like this Attraction? Do you know where the hologram appears? Where?
In Addition, on this day in 2007, Pirates Lair on Tom Sawyers Island surround by the ROA officially opens. The attraction is still a children's adventure playground, but it has been redesigned to capitalize on the successful Pirates of the Caribbean movies.
Harper's Mill was turned into Pirate Point & a stage for performers. Injun Joe's cave became Dead Man's Grotto,
sets from the films were added, such as William Turner's blacksmith shop, & story artifacts were added like Elizabeth Swann's love letters. Included in the makeover are a number of special effects & gadgets. Kids exploring the caverns of Dead Man's Grotto now encounter spooky voices, ghostly apparitions, & buried treasure. Tom Sawyer's tree house, however, remains to remind guests of what the island once was. Do you like this redesign? Or do you prefer the original version? Why?

Yum!! I went into Clarabelle's tonight and wasn't sure what I wanted. The CM's all recommended a Hand Dipped Ice Cream Bar. The CM that was helping me at the time said to get the "Mixed Berry Sorbet, with dark chocolate and chocolate chips". She said it so fast I didn't understand her at first, but I told her I would try it. She was so shocked I took her advise but was so excited. I'm glad I did, it was delicious! The berry sorbet and the chocolate shell complimented each other perfectly. For future I would probably not get the chocolate chips, they got in the way lol.
Thank you everyone for the happy wishes! Here is a tour of our dinner at Napa Rose: Sizzling Hot Rock for 2 (top left), bread basket (top right), split portion if the Braised Short Rib (bottom left) and Warm Butterscotch Bread Pudding and Caramel Praline ice cream (bottom right). Not pictured is the gluten free flatbread which will knock your socks off! Everything was so delicious and service was top notch!
From the Cozy Cone Motel: Filmoreโs Fuelinโ Groovy Adeโs! Left: All Natural Lemonade with Wildberry Foam, Right: Pomegranate Limeade with Lemon-Lime Foam. Both with vodka ๐. Total was $16.20 after tax, no AP discount. Bout VERY yummy ๐๐
Turkey sandwich kids meal comes w/fruit and veggies from Flo's V-8 cafe. $6.99 before tax and annual pass discount. Drink included. Perfect for the lighter eater. Turkey is tasty and comes dry on your fresh roll. :)
Apple Boysenberry freeze and Garlic Cheddar twist from Maurice's. I love the flavor combination of the freeze, definitely let it melt a little and drink without a straw so the juice mixes together. The twists are the perfect texture, but I prefer a more garlicky taste, it was too subtle for me.
Good morning MouseWait! I made a collage of all the wait time signs or attraction signs on my Chub 33 walk yesterday. I can't see well enough on my phone to put them in the proper order, but I still think it's kind of cool. I had fun doing the walk and I will definitely be doing it again.
I want to share a little dream of mine with you guys. This past January the sweetest CM gave my Mom and I a really nice tour of Carthay Circle. On this tour he showed us the little private dining areas... walking into this room, immediately in my head the whole room was filled with my and my husbands families, celebrating finally being able to start our little family. For those of you who don't know (some long timers do), we have had a very difficult time staying pregnant over almost 5 years now, and I have had several complicated miscarriages and so much heartache, on top of dealing with hormonal imbalances and panic disorder steaming from it all. Well, this Fall I begin meeting with high risk doctors to start to process of getting pregnant and staying that way! And I am SO excited! I feel like with all we've been through, when it sticks, I'm going to want to celebrate like crazy! And this room has been stuck in my mind as the place, to among our dear family, celebrate a new happy phase in life and revel the gender. I just SO hope I can pull it off, since his parents and sister don't have passes, and dinner for ten might be pricey...but where there's a will there's a way, right? ๐ It's fun to share these things and get excited, it all starts in about 3 months! Plus, sharing it makes it all a little more real. Thanks for reading my novel!! ๐ (It's been a long time since I've posted a novel๐)
