#retroday My dad, aunt, uncle and grandparents, 1968. On a trip a year later my Dad was asked by Disneyland security to please leave, due to long hair! Thankfully, it didn't ruin his love for the place!
Wonderful family picture! Glad your dad was a good sport and still loves Disneyland😌 - HollyGolightlyPrincess385.2 #347 7-20-12 3:24PMLike(1) Reply
Funny how times have changed. There are times that I wish they would enforce a few dress code issues. - Gabster1200.0 #1631 7-20-12 3:55PMLike(1) Reply
Interesting! They really weren't kidding about the long hair rule back then huh! - rbeezy653.6 #160 7-20-12 2:56PMLike Reply
I guess not! It seems crazy to think of that happening now! - matildamouse196.4 #1677 7-20-12 3:14PMLike Reply

That's the same year of the ones I'm posting. I just love this era. - PeachKay310.6 #556 7-20-12 3:17PMLike Reply
No, they weren't kidding about no long hair (couldn't touch your collar) and no facial hair. My brother & brother-in-law were both kicked out for that. Nice to see mustaches & goatees allowed on CMs now. - debbiev59.2 #3582 7-20-12 3:24PMLike Reply
I honestly love the rule! Wish there was something equivelent for today...I hope Im not a stick in the mud for thinking foot long mohawks are a little wierd at disney? - LillyBelleLady117.2 #2781 7-20-12 3:42PMLike Reply
As much as I agree with you people would flip out of something like that was tried. - lostgirl7988 541.5 #208 7-20-12 3:44PM
i'll disagree. a lot of disney stories are about being yourself and being true to yourself. if thats the avenue of expression, i see no problem with it. - Radius 501.4 #237 7-20-12 3:50PM
Loving these old photos! Quick little story to add... When in high school my boyfriend at the time had a shirt that said smart *** on the back with a picture of a donkey looking smart. We were refused admission by security as we waited to get in the park. We were able to buy a Disney shirt though and that made they happy enough to let us in. This was in the early 90's. Guess they are really a little more lax now with what I've seen in our last few trips. - disneymommy0910233.9 #1186 7-20-12 4:18PMLike Reply
