Carthay Circle Restaurant. This past Sunday my husband and I were celebrating so we decided to try this place for dinner. The restaurant was absolutely gorgeous and beyond fancy! These are the things we ordered: I started off with Pimms Punch. I wanted a mix drink but I told our waitress I wanted something very sweet and this is what she recommended. I loved it! It was sweet and super fruity and pretty strong. Signature Fire Cracker Duck Wings: These were so good. I guess they are suppose to be super spicy but for someone who eats spicy on the regular, they really weren't, but we still enjoyed them very much. Halibut Ceviche: As someone who eats ceviche on the regular, I was a bit disappointed because I just couldn't get a flavor out of it, it was just meh for me but I did eat the whole thing. I guess the way you eat this plate is pour the green sauce all around it, squeeze the lime and mix and you eat it with your plantain chips. I felt that they didn't give you enough chips for it but they are more than happy to refill you with plantain chips. Carthay House Biscuits: Sadly I was disappointed. I thought they were going to be awesome! Or maybe I need to learn not to get over excited about the reviews since we all have different tastes. They were ok but I just couldn't taste the bacon or jalapeno, all I could taste was bland cheese, also be very careful, they are super hot when they first arrive. Bacon-wrapped Shrimp: Amazing! There is nothing but good things I can say about this plate. The shrimp were huge and the salsa they rest on is absolutely delicious! Lastly, we didn't order dessert but our waitress was amazing, she brought us some because it was our anniversary. Toasted Lemon Pound Cake: Absolutely delicious & Seasonal Country Pie: I didn't try this because I am not a pie person but my husband loved it, he said it was blueberry and peach and it was absolutely delicious, it also came with vanilla ice cream. We will be definitively be going back to try out more things. Happy eating! :)
