**RAK** In honor of my new leaf to be more in the holiday spirit, a RAK to you fabulous friends. If you're unable to get to the parks during this magical time of year I'd like to send a care package of holiday park to you. A little something to hopefully put you in a chilly NOS or a bustling Main St. during this magical time. Winner will be chosen the evening of Dec. 10th. Please share your favorite Disney Holiday memory (doesn't have to be Christmas). *** UPDATE*** The very awesome, EVERYONE's favorite, Marshamouse has offered to join me!!! So instead of one winner TWO will be chosen!!!
Very sweet RAK!! Inspires me to do the same!! After yours of course...lol - MarshaMouse  2835.6 #16 12-1-11 4:21PM Like(3)  Reply

Thanks for thinking of us that are too far to visit! It's almost been 6 months since I've moved away and I miss it, so! My favorite Disney Holiday Memory is visiting during December, and riding the matterhorn with my special someone, during the fireworks!!! IT was beautiful, and I swear it's the moment he fell for me, (which he denies). Either way, it's my favorite! Especially walking off, with the music still playing, and the snow eventually falling on our chilled faces! - cenicienta  323.8 #506 12-1-11 10:31AM Like  Reply
They never will admit those things! Lol Good luck - 559MickeyLover  266.9 #856 12-1-11 11:09AM
My favorite holiday memory at disneyland was last Christmas season when I went alone and chatted with a very nice group of college students. I am always amazed when people are kind without having to force anything. Add me please. - MJisMM  31.0 #4323 12-1-11 10:31AM Like  Reply

One of my favorite holiday memories was when Disneyland first started doing the Halloween parties...before it moved to DCA. They had a cast member in the caves of POTC. I thought he was going to skip our boat to scare because the one in front of us screamed so loud. I think we made it halfway past where he was & I made some comment about being safe. He must have heard me. Our boat must have all jumped a foot from our seats when he scared us. To this day my friend & I STILL can't float by the area without being anxious. - ythdudette  340.0 #432 12-1-11 11:22AM Like  Reply
My favorite memory was when my parents &the I went. It was my parents first time at Christmas time and to watch them hold hands and laugh and just enjoy themselves made me so happy(as an adult to share the magic with them at the holidays and still talk about what a great time it was just warms my heart-hopefully we can experience it with them again) - yellowtonka  237.7 #1136 12-1-11 4:45PM Like  Reply
This is such a cute story! Thanks for sharing. - 559MickeyLover  266.9 #856 12-4-11 10:34AM
Add me please! My favorite memory was going to Disneyland for a week from Christmas to New Years Day. Since we drove all the way from the Bay Area, we were going to stay at the Paradise Pier. New Year's Eve was great, since I stayed until almost 3:30 AM, waiting for the subs right before park closing at 2 am. The line took about 45 min. Walking out took even longer. There were no fireworks for New Year's Day due to high winds and no music playing on Main Street. - keli7516  180.3 #1858 12-1-11 5:03PM Like  Reply
I've only spent Halloweentime at Disneyland. We usually go over spring break, no holiday there. We love Halloween because it is our anniversary! We got to wear anniversary buttons and costumes! We hope to see the park over the Christmas holiday some day. But for now, we have found MW which is a great substitute. Thank you both for you generosity! - minigirl1156  411.7 #315 12-1-11 5:42PM Like  Reply
Oh me please! I'm so sad we had to move to VA right before Christmas at DL. My favorite DL holiday memory is watching the fireworks last yr with my husband 3 days before Christmas. It moved me to tears! - TickledTink  352.8 #406 12-1-11 9:42PM Like  Reply
This is a very sweet thing to do. No need to add me :) - CherryTreeLane  456.4 #269 12-1-11 9:48PM Like  Reply
Please add me for sorceressminnie :) My favorite holiday memory at DL would have to be during Halloweentime this year. I took a good friend of mine who had never been to DL before. I was a little nervous about if he would like it and see it the way I do. Well he ended up loving it!! He's a big nature guy so he was in awe of ROA and Pirate's Lair. And he fell in love with Soundsational. I bought him his first pair of Mickey ears which were the Frankenstein ones :) He thought he was so cool. He can't wait to go back!  - Jillian  765.4 #129 12-1-11 9:57PM Like  Reply
Please add me. My favorite holiday memory would have to be the first time I saw the snow fall during the Christmas season. It was back in 2005 and I had never seen such a beautiful sight. I felt like a little girl again. It brought tears to my eyes. - Diznimom  211.8 #1456 12-1-11 10:08PM Like  Reply
I love this!!! My most favorite holiday memory in DL would have to be a Christmas 20 years ago. It's going to sound crazy, but I was there with my two young children, and my niece and nephew. I had gotten sick before I headed down to LA with a nasty cold. But I wasn't going to let that ruin my kids Disney Christmas. The coughing was aweful! I gurgled and wheezed. Well, the night before we were supposed to hit the park one of the children left a toy on the stairs... I tripped and fell down the stairs.. My foot hurt, but I could still walk on it so I figured "what the hey, it can't be broken". So the next day we went to DL.. Me coughing and limping...My kids having a once in a lifetime Christmas in Disney. You should have seen their faces!! Priceless :). Well, after coming back to Sacramento I went in to see my Dr., my foot was broken, I had whiplash and a broken rib from all of my coughing, which of course was caused by the lovely case of pneumonia I had. LOL!!!! What a memory... I have a video recording of us watching Fantasmic and you hear my hacking in the background. Such a wild trip, but the time my kids spent that Christmas day was worth suffering it all over again. - 2BeignetOrNot2Beignet  253.3 #980 12-1-11 10:29PM Like  Reply
Your awesome for thinking of us that live so far away! My favorite christmas memory is seeing the castle all lit up and watching the snow fall for the first time...made me cry! - SillySwings  435.3 #287 12-1-11 10:36PM Like  Reply
Add me for shaygee! My favorite Christmas memory so far is when I first saw the castle lit up a few weeks ago. Even though I have seen it in the past for some reason this time it was more breathtaking than before and I felt like I wanted my jaw to drop. I was in awe! - iamdugsmaster  756.8 #133 12-1-11 10:37PM Like  Reply
My favorite memory would be the first time my husband and took our moms to the park a few days after Christmas. Getting to see the holiday parade and fireworks for the first time on my birthday was so much fun! When the snow fell at the end of the fireworks, I was giggling like I was a little kid again. - MrsClinky  192.9 #1716 12-2-11 6:02AM Like  Reply
My favorite memory was my birthday almost 5 years ago. After the flag retreat my dad "went to the restroom ". I wanted to ride in the fire vehicle down main street. Well my mom, best friend and I did. My dad said he will meet us in NOS for dinner. Well I was islet we were going to eat in the park because I wanted Rainforest Cafe. Well while we were in the car the CM driving started singing me happy birthday..then the car chimed in singing.. then all of main street started singing to me. It was so embarassing and exciting at the same time. After that we walked over by French market to see where my dad was and he said right around the corner. When we walked around he was in front of blue bayou. They Surprised me! I never have been there before and was super excited! LOL great birthday! - Armenda  993.6 #89 12-2-11 6:18AM Like  Reply
I have never been at Christmas so I will choose Halloween. My first time going during Halloween was two years ago and I went with my boyfriend at the time (now husband) and I had such an amazing time just taking it all in. I loved all of the decorations, seeing more villians out, and of course making these memories while I was falling in love with a fellow disney lover. - LisaMouse7531  409.1 #317 12-2-11 6:39AM Like  Reply

Add me please! My favorite memory is the one and only time I've been able to take my hubby to DL at Christmas. I've never seen him light up as much and be in the holiday spirit until he was walking down main street watching the lights go on, and the look on his face when it started to snow after the fireworks! - wonderlandgirl  325.6 #498 12-3-11 11:00PM Like  Reply

2 years ago I took my 12 yo niece to DL & DCA during Christmas.  She had never been to either park.  Her parents chose to not let the kids 'believe' in Santa, Easter bunny, etc in fear they would question God being real...anyways....I talked her into taking pic's with Santa and me.  She actually asked for a second with Santa alone.  I have no clue what she said to him, but the smile she had on her face the rest of the day was priceless!!!  I actually got her let loose and "believe" in the Disney fantasy and Santa Clause.... - thedesertjewel  109.2 #2915 12-8-11 1:40PM Like  Reply

Add me please! My favorite holiday memory is last year when my family did one day at halloween time from open to close. We had not all been in the parks together in a long time. And to make it even more special, my sister was pregnant with my beautiful niece and we felt her kick for the very first time in nos! - TangledBelle  24.4 #4700 12-9-11 11:05PM Like  Reply
Please add me. I am missing the parks so much right now! My favorite Christmas was last year when my husband and I went with all three of our boys. After having a few years of strife with my oldest son, he moved back home and we became a family again. This has been a wonderful year of healing for our family, and that last Christmas trip as a family was a great start to learning to enjoy time together after many years of conflict. Thanks for doing such a,thoughtful RAK - PrincessKristin  774.5 #126 12-10-11 12:25AM Like  Reply

Add me for SorceressMinnie please! My favorite holiday memory is from January this year, spending 2 days at Disneyland with friends and family. The two most absolutely PERFECT days of my life! When I think back, that was when I fell completely in love with the love of my life, (on Indy) even if I didn't realize it quite yet. ^-^ - Mr. Fredrickson  120.4 #2730 12-10-11 9:43AM Like  Reply
The first time we took our boys to DL was the first week of December in 2000.  They were 5 and 2 years old.  Our 5-year old had been diagnosed with autism and we felt like we needed a break from the reality of his various therapies and appointments.  But, we were a little worried about how he would do with the crowds, waiting his turn for rides, etc.  It turned out he did just fine!  He had his moments, but from the moment he saw the tree and walked down Main Street, it was obvious that he was in his happy place!  Seeing my boy's beautiful little faces light up was the highlight of the trip!  My son is now 16, doing very well, and still loves Disneyland! - bunnymama  331.6 #464 12-10-11 12:02PM Like  Reply
Please add me, my best Christmas memory was the first Christmas I spent with my husband. He took me to Disneyland I had never been as a kid even know I grew up in OC, my parents never took me. Okay this is one of the coolest RAK! Please enter me thank you :) My favorite holiday memory is when we were at pizza port we just got done eating and my friend had some pasta. She burped and it smelt so bad my cousin almost puked. I said it smelled like rotten pasta and we all lost it. I ended up falling off my chair laughing so hard and everyone was staring at us.
